I go to random places at random times and post random things...

1)  I’ve been going to water aerobics twice a week for three weeks now.  Actually, I lie.  I hit the wall yesterday morning and could not convince myself to get out of bed.  So I missed one session this week. I will admit to feeling a little looser in the limbs, but getting up at 7 am is damn near killing me.  I’m not a morning person.  I’m not a night owl either.  I’m more of an 11:30 am to 3:00 pm type.

2)  The fact that the Red Sox have advanced to the next stage of the play-offs isn’t going to help.  I love watching the games but I just can’t stay up that late and expect to function the next day.  Still, I will probably give up functionality for baseball.  It’s a temporary thing.  But I’m hoping not too temporary as far as the Sox are concerned.

3)  Evan finally finished the fourth installment of The Game of Thrones series and handed it over to me.  I have gotten sucked in once again.  George R. R. Martin tells a story with such vivid detail that I can see it in front of my eyes as I am reading.  What a gift he has!  These books are also playing havoc with my sleep issues though.  I’ll go to sleep after just one more chapter…

4)  I got up early this morning for a 9:30 am doctor’s appointment in Webster, MA, only to get there at 9:30 and being told that the appointment was scheduled for 9:00.  Help!  They were kind enough to find a spot for me so I didn’t have to turn around and go home and then come back in about a month.  This is all about allergies and respiratory stuff.  Nothing serious.   But still, I appreciate that they made room for me.

5)  While I was in Webster I stopped by Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg to take some pictures.  Yes, you read that right.  This lake is also known by the name Lake Chaubunagungamaug.  But is most often just called Webster Lake.  Here’s the Wiki in case you’re curious:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Chaubunagungamaug

So I will post a couple pics of this ^ place and a couple of just plain old fall pictures which have been randomly placed on my hard drive.

Webster Lake

They have a public beach at Webster Lake, however, there were no lifeguards on duty there today.  It's a little chilly.
Some sumac in our yard.
A blue-headed vireo I spotted the other day.

Gorgeous photos! :). And, well, Webster Lake is much easier to pronounce. That's for sure! 11:30-4:00 are my best hours. We are similar. But i'm not as much of a baseball fan as you are. I don't always watch baseball, but when i do, i root for the Sox! Native Mainer and all. :)

Love the pics. I have heard of that lake name before...a little long:) You are my LU neighbour for this wk, and I wanted to stop by and say hi. I am not a morning person, either...I like from 11-6 myself:)

Webster is definitely the way to go for that lake...wow, what a name. Beautiful autumn images, each one. I watch "The Game of Thrones" on cable and enjoy but I am sure the books are probably way better. It seems the older I get the longer my days become...most nights I am not in bed until 11:30 or 12:00 and then up at 7-8. I can't get everything done even at that length.

Your photos are beautiful! Love, love, love New England in the fall!

Digging your 'business' hours; admiring your tenacity to attend water aerobics at that hour in the morning (I'm up early - just not aerobic functioning at that hour); kudos to your Sox loyalty (so not a baseball fan here - sorry...); and the name of that lake looks like someone's finger got stuck on the typewriter keys. Love your random shots - nice!

You are making everday things sound so interesting! It's a gift.

I've seen the vireo and always like sumac in the fall...especailly liking the first 2 photos..they have an old time postcard feel to them which blends right in with fall ... I always seem to get a little nostalgic at this time of year...

That's a magnificent lake with a VERY long name! I love the photo of the little bird, too. You live in a gorgeous area of the country!

The first two photos are just gorgeous! I like the little bench to the side in the first shot. It gives just a bit of size perspective.

Well the name of that lake is a real tongue twister for sure. I think Webster works for me. Your photos from there are gorgeous. Love the fall trees.
I am not a morning person either although I am more of a night-owl.
So glad they made room for you at the appointment. Here if you are the least bit late they will cancel your appointment or reschedule you which is a real pain if you are only a few minutes late. What I hate is when you are on time and then you have to "wait" for them.
Baseball...not my thing but I do hope you enjoy it and don't lose to much sleep.

I'm a morning person but getting somewhere by 7:00 am would be a stretch for me.

Love the name of that lake that no one today could pronounce. Ever. :)
