Good Bangor Fences…

We didn’t have a lot of time to tour around Bangor, Maine while we were in the vicinity. But we did have about an hour before we had to get gussied up for the wedding we attended, so we drove around Bangor a little bit.

There were some beautiful houses with fences along the main drag like this one:

But of course, the magnum opus of all fences and houses in Bangor is this one:

This is the house of none other than the prolific and brilliant writer, Stephen King.  Pretty neat, eh?

Looks like Mr. King has a pet frog.

wow, it looks like a house King would live in. love the fence... the old house could be in a gothic movie, just add a little dark or wind and rain and thunder.

What a lovely pair of houses from the last half of the 1800s. The white Second Empire is a delight. Tom The Backroads Traveller

I like Mr. King's gate, it's kinda creepy, I wonder what gave him that idea?

Oh goodness, I'd enjoy touring all of them, especially King's house, if only it were possible. I do think his fences are pretty cool and quite fitting, my daughter would love them and his frog is my favorite of all! Even if he does appear to be trying to escape! Help! i can't get over the fence! Ha! Ha!

That first house is nice and does have a lovely fence but I do think Mr. King's place tops it for sure. Loving the spider web detail and the Dragon on the top of the gate. Also I like his frog. What a cool looking home too.

Wow! That's fantastic! I guess I'm not surprised he lives in a house like that.
