I am just about to finish off my barn collection from our trip to
Roanoke, Virginia (USA). The barns I’m
posting today are a little on the rough side and definitely could use some
paint, but I like them. They are
utilitarian and beautiful. So here’s the
last of my road trip barns… Since I was
feeling a little panicked, Greg decided that it was such a beautiful day we
would take a ride down to Connecticut so that I could get a fresh supply of
barns to work on for next week.

Often times the roughest barns are the best looking. These are all very cool, but I think the second and fourth are my favorites! Especially the fourth. Nice shots, Barbara!
I love the look of weathered barns. :) A road trip out to find new barns to photograph sounds good to me!

A lovely collection of barns! Isn't it great to have an understanding husband? Mine is very patient when we are on roadtrips and has turned around many times and went back so I could get a shot or two of something that caught my eye, and along the backroads that can be quite a bit!

What beautiful photo's! It's such a shame to see these old beauties unused and left to rot. Thank heaven's people like yourself are out there taking photo's so they will be enjoyed even after they have fallen down. Our old barn and other outbuildings looked very similar when we moved here nearly 3 years ago...this year we are going to start painting them. Not sure if we'll get them all done this spring and fall (too hot in the summer here in Kansas) but we'll give it a good try. Thanks for preserving these old barns even if it's only through your lens. Enjoy your day.
