Drive by shootings: White Barns in PA…

We passed through part of Pennsylvania on our way down to Roanoke, Virginia.  I noticed that there were a lot of white barns in the area so I started snapping away.  I took all of these from the car racing 70+ mph down the road.  (Don’t worry.  I wasn’t driving.)  And I had to delete many ludicrous attempts at capturing these old beauties while barreling down the highway.  Here are a few that passed and remain safe on my computer.

I always say that I just want to start going with no destination in mind and actually stop when I get to one of these beautiful old buildings and take my time with my composition, exposure, etc.  But it hasn't happened yet.

We may be retired but it doesn't mean we don’t have to be someplace at a specific time.  Oh, well…

Great photos! That red roof compliments the white so well. And I love the diamond deco on the third. They are all pretty.

These are wonderful. Makes me want to put on my rubber boots and explore. Great shots. Especially from a car. Well done. (Visiting from Barn Charm.)

I find myself with many barn pictures taken while on the road - I can't resist (but only when I'm the passenger).

Adore the last shot with the silhouetted tree and showing the barns stone walls!

I actually DO stop to get my barn shots most of the time, but I'm always afraid the owner will come out yelling at me for taking pic of his property like I'm 'casin' the joint' to come back later & steal something, so I'm always in a hurry, too! LoL!
If only I had the nerve to get permission to shoot their barns, then I could relax & take my time... *sigh*

They're all gorgeous barns & glad you wasn't driving & shooting! LoL!
Thanks for joining =)
