Drive by shootings: Dual purpose barn…

I’ve seen many barns with advertisements on them.  But I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one advertising an indoor water park.  This one is somewhere near Erie, Pennsylvania.

wow! pretty bright against that great grey weathered wood. almost looks like they stole the sign to do some barn patching! :)

We traveled up to Columbus, Ohio this past weekend and I discovered a slew of barns that I am itching to venture back in that direction to photograph. I was especially excited that one had an old Mail Pouch ad.

I hope they're getting a nice fee for the use of their barn side advertising!

Love the old barn. The advertisement, not so much.

My guess is they took advantage of a prominent location and the property owner made some money. Just a guess. That's a wonderful old barn!

Who would have thought the Interstates would provide a little income to the farmer. Hope he gets a good fee for the ad space.

I have to agree with a couple of previous commenters, Barbara. The old barns has lots of charm, not so much the garish advertisement. And a good point others made about it possibly holding the old place together.

LOL, this is funny an advertising barn.. like other homes, close to main streets, that brings some money to the owners. Very nice picture!
