Good Snowy Fences…

Yesterday was a truly beautiful day here in snowy Massachusetts.  I had an appointment early in the morning for a massage (Lucky me!) and afterwards, I just had to drive around for a while to admire the beautiful mounds of snow against the perfect blue sky.  I managed to pick up a few shots of fences on my rounds so I am going to link on up to The Run*A*Round  Ranch’s Good Fences.

The snow just keeps on coming and it's getting harder and harder to figure out where to put it.  It has been snowing off and on today, but it won’t amount to much.  However, they are threatening us with another foot this weekend.  If Worcester doesn’t win The Golden Snowglobe Award this year, it will be a miracle.  But, we are currently ahead of Buffalo by only six inches.  It may be a close one.  I am a person who likes the winter, but this has gotten to be a bit ridiculous.

They look cold, don't they?

love the white-on-white fence! poor cattle can't find a thing to scrounge on! yeah, if you're gonna get snow, might as well go for the title. ;)

Again I can't believe how much snow everyone has received back east. It's unbelievable. That white snow and fence look great combined with the lovely red barn. Yes those cows do look cold.

Beautiful snowy landscapes! What snow we've had doesn't stick around long.

Wonderful shots. You are certainly getting more than you fair share of the white stuff over there. Nice that you seem to have a little competition going about which place gets it worse?!

Glad to know someone's getting the same sort of winter we are!

Beautiful snowy shots. Those cattle are up to their bellies in the white stuff.

Those poor cattle do look cold...I always wonder just how much the cold bothers the animals. I know last year here, I saw birds shiver. and I don't think it was my imagination, yet I did not know if they really shiver or not.

Love the pictures...that is one thing snow is good for!

Beautiful photos, these are the moments winter is often called, winter-wonderland!

Those steers are to their bellies! The bits of red in some of the photos really pops against all that white.

I was much relieved when Allyson told me that they were clearing some of the snow off the roof of her dorm -I am concerned how damaging and dangerous this much snow is on your area. That said, the white fence against all that snow is gorgeous.

I think many fences are at their best in the snow. Nicely photographed!

Yes, you have been bombarded with the white stuff. Beautiful captures when you could get out. Stay safe and warm!!

Even though you have a lot of snow the sun and blue skies sure make it look beautiful! I love the photos and the fences. The white board fence is wonderful as it is a bit 'up and down' with the ground. Love the cows huddled in the cold too. We're getting a nasty nor'easter today with a ton of snow. It's nice that we're half way through February though isn't it. :)
