Two random photos, five random thoughts…

Taken in February, here is the little sun worshiper.

Cheers!  Hoping you all have a great weekend!

My Random Five:

1)  Greg and I had lunch in Boston today.  We met his cousin Carol from Indiana who was in town on business.  We did this before a few years ago but none of us could remember when.
Yes, folks, memory is the first thing to go.

2)  Our pug Olive seems to have spring fever.  In spite of the fact that it is not that warm out yet, she insists on lying out in the sun on the deck for a few minutes a day.  I have to admire her optimism.

3)  I am very happy that baseball season has started.  I love baseball.  I am now a Boston Red Sox fan but haven’t always been because I grew up in southern Ohio.  I am still a Cincinnati Reds fan though.  Fortunately, the two are not mutually exclusive unless some day they manage to meet up again in the World Series.  Then I am in a pickle.

4)  I went to see and hear Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa, last week with a bunch of friends.  She was at the Hanover Theater in Worcester, MA.  It was an enjoyable evening.

5)  And speaking of food, it’s pork chops on the grill, rice and spinach for dinner tonight.  Quick and easy!

Cool pics Barbara. Our old Marshall loves the sun this time of year but not in the summer so much. Enjoy the weekend.

Olive is awesome! :) I am a Boston Red Sox fan from way back. I live in Oregon now and grew up in Maine. That makes me also a New England Patriots fan, though not a huge football fan in general. Go Tom Brady. lol. (I just think he's handsome and all.)

I am trying to like baseball again. I remember going to Fountain Square to celebrate the Reds winning the second Series in a row! Long time ago. What a blast! I am NFL maven. Missing it. Will try to fill the spaces with the Reds! Love the pics as usual. Hope we have Spring and do not go directly to Summer.

I am an Ina Garten's fan as well, Barbara, and wonder what type of presentation she gave, lecture, cooking demos or both? Not so much a baseball far, although if we succeed in our planned relocation to NH, then Grenville may become a Patriots fan. Glad that Olive is optimistic...maybe she knows spring will be coming soon in terms of weather.

Love sun, provided it isn't 100 degrees with equal amounts of humidity - then I hate sun.
Don't care for baseball - tried real hard (really I did) - husband was a big time Reds fan, but lost interest after the last strike. (mind you, this is the man who has boxes of cards from his childhood, won several years of ESPN Fantasy Baseball, and assured me he would be at the hospital with me when it came time to birth that child provided it didn't conflict with a game...errr!) Our son is name Ryan after Nolan Ryan. . . .
and I would so enjoy hearing Ina Garten - I just enjoy something about her.

Interesting 5--if the Red Sox and Cin. Reds end up in the World Series--you'll be both happy and sad no matter what!
