1) Spring green is the only way I can describe the way it looks
outside my window. Birds are singing and
the sun is shining. And the pollen is
bearing down on me like a semi-truck.
2) Greg is off at a motorcycle rally for the weekend and I am
holding down the fort. Here are two
things we don’t have in common:
motorcycles and photography. I
have absolutely no interest in two wheeled vehicles and I am pretty sure he
doesn’t give a hoot about shutter speed.
Maybe that is the secret to a long marriage.
3) When Greg goes away for any length of time, Olive decides
that his side of the bed is there for her to lounge around in and she makes the
most of it. That is, until it gets a
little chilly. This morning, she ended
up under the covers leaning on me. Dogs!
4) I went to get a haircut yesterday but it seems my hair didn’t
grow much since it was last cut. So my
hairdresser just trimmed it up a little around the ears and sent me on my merry
way. No charge.
That was nice.
5) I think this is so cool! My daughter Carrie’s photo is one of the
#FlickrFriday picks this week and is on the Flickr Blog. It’s the second photo,
by the way. Ironically, the subject is
Glorious Morning and she would be the first to tell you that she is not a
morning person. Still, it’s a great
photo and I am proud of her creativity.

hope greg has a great time! LOVE the white lilacs! congrats to carrie! neat shot!
I really like your daughter's photo...I keep meaning to do these Friday five and actually thought of it earlier...but didn't do it cause I couldn't sit still long enough to follow through with it. Busy with other stuff.
my Hubby has a motorcycle too...I rode with him for a couple of years...but I'm not fond of it...we do like to fish together so that's good...he is patient with all my photo taking....
such clear vibrant shots, Carrie's photo is lovely, we had ancat until recently who slept under our duvet, we couldn't break the habit..9 kilos...
We did alot of riding early in our marriage -- now there's so much to do on the farm, the bike is parked in the garage.
Congrats on your daughter's photo feature -- how awesome for her!
i love dandelions and the blowing there of... and there are none in FL, it has been years since i have seen them. congrats to your daughter. and enjoy your weekend with Olive under the covers...i agree with your comment. Dogs.... and i love them
no charge, that is good... my hubby cuts mine and he was a mechanic not a hairdresser. he wants a Harley and if i die first he is stopping on the way home from the funeral to buy one.
Great spring photos...dandelions! But I really prefer the gorgeous white lilacs...our tree and bush are packed jammed with flower buds this year after a poor year last year...just the standard purple but I love 'em! Good for Carrie...I checked out some of the other photos on her photostream! Very creative! :)
Your collection of greens & whites is glorious. Poor little Olive, I am sure she appreciates your body to snuggle against. Congrats to your daughter, beautiful image!!
love carrie's shot, so soft and beautiful!! yours aren't bad either!!
enjoy your olive time!!
I always like dandelion seed head photos but my camera just won't take good closeups. These are beautiful photos. Enjoy your weekend with Olive. Pam
I love these dandelion photos. (And i love dandelions too, and so does our lawn.) :) Your daughter is a very talented photographer.
I am almost 50 and have never been on a motorcycle. Don't know why.. just never have. I should try one out sometime.
Great photos! Dandelions are so intricate when looked at up close.
Congrats to you daughter! It's a lovely photo. Looks like talent runs in your family!
I've never ridden a motorcycle, and I probably never will. I'm just not very coordinated.
well your shots were as always great!
it seems so refreshing
Nice contrast between the green and white! Looks like you used a fairly large aperture.
Those a cool pics!
Congratulations to you daughter! Beautiful series! Best regards!
Dandelions are greatly misunderstood wildflowers, yet they bring such colorful blooms and then fun to watch seed pods. Thanks for including some shots, Barbara. Grenville and I share some similar interests, but also different ones which is most likely why we get along so well too. Your daughter's photo was beautiful and early morning is a great time of day.
Love the tone of these pictures and congrats to Carrie on her winning picture. (my daughter breaks out in hives at the very mention of 'morning' - I'm pretty sure!).
So lovely pics!
