I got up in the middle of the night as I often do. It was the night before the full moon and it
was bright out. Looking out the window
and down into the yard, I saw a fox walking across the stone wall in front of
our house. He hesitated right below my
window like he knew he was being watched and then sauntered off toward the
woods.
The next morning when I went to the garage, I noticed that
suet feeder was down on the porch. It
had obviously been pulled off the hook where it hung through the winter. I think we had a visit from a bear.
Things are stirring around here, folks. Yep, things are stirring.
Our crabapple tree has set its buds.
The squills are starting to go and the bluets have sprung up.
We even have a tulip blooming.
The magnolia buds are getting ready to burst open.
Of course, the may flies are out, too. But I'm doing my best to ignore them.

looks just like here, I just noticed the first bluets sprouted today… your photos are wonderful!
All just lovely! We are way behind, but I did find a clump of little violets that have bloomed!
Spring time! We are battling stinkbugs and mice!(yuck!)
awwwww, everything is waking up!!
as of late, there have been a lot of fox sightings at the jersey shore!!!
yikes! i'd be pulling down my bird feeders! i shan't complain about the raccoons we get... :)
Wow, foxes, bears and blooms! How exciting! Pretty flowers you've photographed.
Bear and fox? Yikes! Would it be a deer eating the suet? Pretty spring blooms. Too bad the bugs are starting now. So far only houseflies here but it's windy enough today to keep them away. Enjoy!
Lovely, Barb - I'm liking your signs of spring. When I walk now, I watch out for bears. My friend has had one in her yard. We're later having spring here at altitude than you are, but I can see a bit of dirt at my side garden and the snow banks are melting in front of the house.
beautiful flowers - I especially like the Magnolia :-)
Beautiful photographs of your garden bursting into spring!
love those magnolia buds and i would love to see a fox. but now in my yard.. LOL.. we just had breakfast while watching 2 half grown raccoon walk across the top of our fence like it was a boardwalk.... we don't want them there, but nothing to do about it.
Oh, how wonderful to see a fox from your own window! The magnolias around here are almost all leafed out and the blossoms gone. I would not mind coming north to see them again.
Yep things are stirring with you. We area little ahead of you in London as the tulips and magnolia are dropping their petals. l
