Winter Stories

"I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure in the landscape - the loneliness of it - the dead feeling of winter.  Something waits beneath it - the whole story doesn't show." ~Andrew Wyeth

I find the patterns of winter alluring, the way the ice forms stalactites along the gutters, the way frost cleaves to the old windows, the way the snow ends up in graceful mounds on the earth.   Those are stories in themselves.

Oh that frosted window is a divine ice forest!!!

Andrew Wyeth is my all-time favorite artist. Wonderful quote to go with your gorgeous photos.

Thanks! I love the frost feathers on the windows even if I am not too thrilled with the cold weather.
