Thinking large and melodious thoughts…

This is a photo of a piece of the large red maple that stands in our back yard. I love this tree.
I love looking at its red leaves, its strong shadow and its powerful bearing.
It is a giver of “large and melodious thoughts.”

Wonderful Tuesday Muse! Love the quote and the photo! Thanks for coming by and visiting my quilt blog. I like handwork as well, it's so calming. But, my hand quilting is not up to par. :-) Need more practice, I guess. The problem is, it would take me five years just to hand quilt an entire quilt, and I get impatient. Hope I get the hang of this free-motion stuff! :-) Have an awesome week!

So much love for this photo. It's beautiful. One thing i sorely miss about New England.. and there are many things.. is the abundance of big, strong maple trees! We have some out west, but they're just not the same.

Wow, this is beautiful, and the quote is, too. Trees remind me of strength and fortitude, and your photograph does too. Thank you for sharing it.
