Georgia on my mind...

I realize that I haven’t done justice to the garden of my friend Donna S.  I am always so impressed whenever I walk around there.  I mean, how many people do you know who live in Massachusetts that have a banana tree in their yard??  Bet you can’t name one.  Well, Donna S. has a banana tree in her yard that has been well tended over the years.  It comes out of the garden and goes into a green house to winter over each year, then she and her husband Don replant it in the yard once the danger of frost is gone.
  That’s dedication!

She definitely has a green thumb…an admirable trait and I do love walking around and admiring the various things Donna S. has cultivated.  I don't have a green thumb.  I am hoping that I have a silver shutter finger though.    It helps me channel my inner Georgia O’Keefe.

Gorgeous shots, Barb! I am very impressed with your friend and her Mass Banana tree! I think Georgia O' Keefe would definitely give you a "thumbs up!"

Banana Tree, how cool is that. I love the red flower which is second from the top.

Thanks! That first and second flower are dahlias. And the next one is a hibiscus. I am clueless about the last two though.

I like your pictures, your way to capture the details and the light.
And your pug is adorable :-)
