The End of the Road...Almost...

Amsterdam!  What a great place to attempt to get my land legs back!  I must say that I loved it.  It’s like nowhere else I have ever been in my life and I would go back in a heartbeat.

We spent two nights there.  We took a canal boat ride and went to the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House.  The rest of the time, we just kind of wandered around.

Amsterdam is a place with more bikes than cars…and maybe more bikes than people.  Certainly, there were more bikes there than I have ever seen.  I’m still a little flummoxed about how you would find your bike there once you park it.  We were told that Amsterdam officials fish 10,000 bikes out of the canals each year. I believe that.

We said good bye to our friends, Dona and Bob, in Amsterdam and they flew back to Philadelphia.  Greg and I got on the train and went on our way to Paris.  It left me feeling like seventeen days go by in a great big hurry.

Celebrity Constellation in Amsterdam Harbor.  A different point of view.

About to become one of the 10,000 bikes floating in the canal.

Competition for the two-wheelers.

Amsterdam!
